Scholarships for Physics and Astronomy students The School of Physics and Astronomy is offering twelve scholarships of £10,000 each, to applicants who have applied to study full-time on either the MSc Astrobiology and Planetary Sciences, MSc Mathematical Physics, MSc Particle and Nuclear Physics or MSc Theoretical Physics programmes of study for the 2024-2025 academic session. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and/or financial need to students of any nationality. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first-class honours degree or its overseas equivalent. The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd, our web-based information portal. Higgs Scholarships University of Edinburgh Alumni Scholarships Our postgraduate taught programmes are included in the University’s alumni scholarships schemes. The University offers a 10% discount on postgraduate tuition fees to all alumni who have graduated with an undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh (conditions apply); or to students who have previously matriculated on a one of our Visiting Programmes schemes as a non-graduating undergraduate student and completed a minimum of one semester of study at the University of Edinburgh (conditions apply).
