For Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants students you will usually spend most of your time at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE). The King's Buildings campus has over 100 years of scientific history and is the centre of the College of Science and Engineering. There are a number of key buildings you might use during your studies including the traditional style Ashworth Building, the more modern Nucleus Building and the largest building on campus the James Clerk Maxwell Building (JCMB). Taking what you have learned in the first two semesters you will apply your knowledge to an independent 3 month research project. Project work usually begins immediately following any semester two exams or assessments, some programmes also have a project proposal course. Usually we ask students to choose their top five choices from our project database and then staff work to match students with projects as best they can.
