Here at EPCC, postgraduate students are an important part of our community. About EPCCEPCC has been at the forefront of parallel and novel computing in the UK for three decades and has been a leading name in HPC training for the majority of that. EPCC's Postgraduate Taught programmes maintain strong links to industry, and our alumni have a successful track record of working in a wide range of sectors from academic and industrial HPC (a number of current EPCC staff are also EPCC alumni), to Financial Services, Game Development, Software Development and Academic Research. FacilitiesOne of EPCC's main office locations is within The Bayes Centre, located in the University's central campus. The Bayes Centre hosts a number of different academic units from different parts of the University of Edinburgh, as well as a range of external organisations and collaborative partners. Our students benefit from access to a dedicated student study space alongside our academic and professional services staff on the second floor. Support during your studiesWe are committed to providing students with a unique and valuable experience. As well as learning from experienced teaching staff, students at EPCC will be supported by a team of dedicated Student Advisers and Academic Cohort Leads. Whether on-campus or online, you will also have access to the University's range of additional support services. My experience at EPCC was incredibly reassuring. The interaction with the EPCC teaching staff was abundant, both inside and outside the classroom. The administrative office was always accessible, and faculty offices literally surrounded our workspace, making it convenient to seek immediate assistance. What impressed me the most was the promptness with which teachers responded to queries, big or small, always addressing them efficiently and wholeheartedly. I always felt like I was in good hands; the faculty and staff at EPCC stood with me like a family, ready to support me in any challenges I faced. They are truly deserving of a student’s trust. W.
