Postgraduate degrees in the School of Informatics

Most of our postgraduate taught degrees consist of two semesters of taught courses , a research project (September - May) and a dissertation to be completed by mid-August.

Degree Structures

The detailed content of all degree programmes can be found in the Degree Programme Tables (DPTs).

The DPTs give you an in-depth insight into the compulsory courses and optional courses available in your degree programme. 

DPTs also have detailed information about each course that includes:

  • the syllabus
  • methods of assessment
  • modes of feedback
  • learning outcomes

Courses

We offer a huge range of courses that enable you to tailor your MSc experience to your own interests, creating a unique opportunity for you to be in control of your own learning. You will be asked to indicate your course choices towards the end of August 2024.  We will be hosting a virtual event ahead of this with advice on course selection.
