Terms of Appointment

The Head of School will be appointed to a five year term which may be renewable and to an open-ended Professorial post in the School which will continue thereafter. It is anticipated that the appointment will be effective from 1 August 2022. The appointment will be full time and salary will be within the professorial salary range.

Application Process

The appointment of the Head of the School will be guided by a selection panel chaired by Professor Peter Mathieson, Principal and Vice Chancellor

Applications should be submitted via our jobs vacancy website.  The selection panel will subsequently decide upon the field of shortlisted candidates and these individuals will be invited to interview in the New Year.

As part of the interview process, candidates will be invited to make a presentation, which all members of the School will have the opportunity to attend. This presentation may inform the selection committee in their deliberations. We would wish to allow members of staff attending presentations to see a CV of short listed candidates. If you do not wish to allow your CV to be made available in this way, please advise us of this in your application. If we are so advised, your CV will remain confidential to members of the short-listing and selection committee.
