Charges for events

Nucleus space can be booked free of charge by staff booking space for events largely aimed at an internal audience. Some examples below:

  • Staff meetings
  • Although inaugural lectures attract an external audience too, those bookings are also free of charge
  • School visits and WP events and open days
  • Student-led events with no conference fee would also tend to be free of charge.

Some examples of Nucleus events there would be a cost for:

  • Conferences advertised to externals: you should budget for space hire costs in the same way you would need to cover catering costs.
  • Research-funded projects with external partners where project meetings are costed in the grant.

The application process will determine whether an event should be charged.
